FUEL SYSTEM

PAIR CHECK VALVE INSPECTION

BOLT
Remove the following:
— fuel tank (page 5-3)
— air cleaner housing (page 5-4)
Remove the bolt and PAIR control valve with the tubes
connected.
Disconnect the air injection hose from PAIR check valve
cover.
AIR INJECTION HOSE PAIR CONTROL VALVE
Remove the two bolts and PAIR check vale cover from the
COVER
cylinder head.
REED VALVE
Check the reed for damage or fatigue. Replace if neces-
sary.
Replace the PAIR check valve if the seat rubber is cracked,
deteriorated or damaged, or if there is clearance between
the reed and seat.
BOLTS
Install the PAIR check valve and cover onto the cylinder
REED VALVE
COVER
head cover.
Install and tighten the two bolts to the specified torque.
TORQUE: 5.2 N·m (0.53 kgf·m, 3.8 lbf·ft)
Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
