CLEANING THE AIR FILTER ELEMENT
1. Remove:
• air filter case cover
2. Clean:
• air filter element
Apply compressed air to the outer surface of
the air filter element.
3. Check:
• air filter element
Damage → Replace.
4. Install:
• air filter element
• air filter case cover
CAUTION:
Never operate the engine without the air filter
element installed. Unfiltered air will cause
rapid wear of engine parts and may damage
the engine. Operating the engine without the
air filter element will also affect the
carburetor tuning, leading to poor engine
performance and possible overheating.
NOTE:
When installing the air filter element into the air
filter case cover, make sure their sealing surfaces
are aligned to prevent any air leaks.

CLEANING THE V-BELT CASE AIR FILTER
ELEMENT
1. Remove:
• V-belt case air filter cover
• V-belt case air filter element
2. Clean:
• V-belt case air filter element
Apply compressed air to the outer surface of
the primary fixed sheave air filter element.
3. Check:
• V-belt case air filter element
Damage → Replace.
CAUTION:
Since the V-belt case air filter element is a dry
type, do not let grease or water contact it.
4. Install:
• V-belt case air filter element
• V-belt case air filter cover
