Clutch Hub/
Drum Removal

STEP 1. Make sure lhe chain brake is re­
leased an d Iha l lhe saw chain is free lo
rolate
STEP 2.
Lock the engine crankshaft by
removlll g the spark plll g and lhen inserlin g
a plastlc pi ston stop or length

STEP 3. Remove Ihe clutch cover nuts. an d
then remove the clu Cll cover, If Ihe saw
chain and guide bar have nOI been revi­
ou sly removed, loasen the guide bar

STEP 4. Remove the E-nng from ehm d he
crank shaft
nut.

ATTENTION!
The crank shafl nut forms lhe slot or he
E-ring , and should never be removed
unless amaged. If the crankshaft nut
must be removed . use han d ools on ly
and remove (he nut in a clockwise
direc tion (Fi gure 611)
