Making the safety connections

Install the safety lines.
Minimum cross-sections
&
Safety valve blow-off line:
DN 20 (R ¾")
&
Connection of the diaphragm
expansion vessel, e.g. via the sup-
plied tee on the safety equipment
block (Rp ½")

Low water indicator

Tests have verified that the low water
indicator stipulated by EN 12828 is
not required.

Condensate connection

Connect the condensate drain with a
constant slope and a pipe vent to the
public sewer. Install a neutralising
system, if required.
Note
When burning low sulphur fuel oil DIN
51603-EL-1 (sulphur content
≤ 50 mg/kg), a neutralising system is
not required according to the ATV-
DVWK-A 251 [Germany].

Connection with siphon

Note
The siphon is packed with the boiler casing, i.e. behind the front panel.
The siphon does not need to be installed if the neutralising system described on
page 13 (accessory) is installed.

Please note
Flue gas may escape from the
condensate line if that is not
equipped with a siphon.
Install the siphon supplied if no
neutralising system, or active
charcoal filter is connected.
The neutralising system and
the active charcoal filter avail-
able as accessories are
respectively equipped with
integral siphons.
