ROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
No response from fixture.
Fixture resets but does not
respond correctly to controller.
Fixture does not reset.
No light.
Lamp cuts out intermittently or
burns out too quickly.

(memory error)
message displayed
PAE
(pan error time-out)
message displayed
TIE
(tilt error time-out)
message displayed
CSE (check-sum error)
message displayed
Probable cause(s)
No power to fixture.
Primary fuse blown.
Secondary fuse blown.
Controller not connected.
Incorrect addressing of the
fixtures.
Controller pin-out does not
match fixture pin-out (signal
reversed).
Stand-alone mode enabled.
Bad data link connection.
Data link not terminated.
Defective fixture or 2 devices
transmitting on link.
An effect requires adjustment. Contact service technician.
Lamp missing or blown.
Fixture is too hot.
Incorrect power supply setting. Check setting.
The user settings cannot be
read from memory.
Pan reset switch malfunction. Contact service technician.
Tilt reset switch malfunction.
Unsuccessful software upload. See "Installing software".

Troubleshooting

Remedy
Check power cables.
Replace fuse.
Replace fuse.
Connect controller.
Check address and mode
settings on fixture and
controller.
Insert a swapper cable in data
input.
Verify that DMX address is
displayed at top of menu. If
not, disable stand-alone
mode.
Inspect cables and correct
poor connections and/or
broken cables.
Insert termination plug in
output of last fixture.
Bypass fixtures one at a time
until normal operation is
regained: unplug both
connectors and connect them
directly together.
Disconnect fixture and replace
lamp.
Allow fixture to cool.
Contact service technician.
Contact service technician.
