For serial connection, provide the following:
Channel service unit/digital service unit (CSU/DSU) device or modem if desired
Up to three of the following cables:
X.21 or V.35 adapter cable
UNIVERSAL connector to RS-449/V.36 data communications equipment (DCE) cable
UNIVERSAL to RS-232 DCE cable
UNIVERSAL to V.35 direct connect cable
UNIVERSAL to RS-232 direct connect cable
UNIVERSAL to RS-449/V.36 direct connect cable
RS-232 to RS-232 direct connect cable
V.35 to V.35 direct connect cable
V.35 to V.35 DCE cable
RS-232 to RS-232 DCE cable
WARNING: To eliminate cable noise emission in excess of FCC
regulations, part 15, subpart J, and EN55022B, all interconnection
cables should be equipped with shielded connectors, the backshells of
which must completely surround the cable shield.
