Boiler location

H Do not use a room in which the air is
polluted by halogenated hydrocarbons
(e.g. as contained in aerosols, paints,
solvents and cleaning agents)
H Do not use a room subject to high le
vels of dust
H Do not use a room subject to high hu
midity
H The room should be frost-protected and
well ventilated
Otherwise malfunctions and damage to
the system may result.
If the Vitodens 100 is to be installed in a
room where air pollution from haloge
nated hydrocarbons is present, e.g. in
hairdressers, printing works, dry cleaning
laundries, laboratories etc., adequate pre
cautions must be taken to ensure a suffi
cient supply of clean air for combustion.
Please consult us if in doubt.
If these requirements are not complied
with, no liability can be accepted for re
sulting boiler damage.
Flue systems
Single-wall flue pipes must have building
authority approval (for operation with
open flue).
Viessmann concentric flue gas/ventilation
pipes (AZ systems) for operation with bal
anced flue
H for running vertically through the roof,
H for external wall connection,
H for running horizontally through the
roof,
H for separate routing of ventilation air
and flue gases,
H for mounting on the external wall
are tested to DVGW and CE-certified to
gether with the Vitodens as a construc
tional unit.
The AZ system components are approved
for connection to new and existing room
sealed balanced flues.
For a more detailed description of the flue
systems, please refer to the Technical
Guide for Vitodens boilers.

appliance according to TRGI '86/96, the
Vitodens 100 for balanced flued operation
can be installed regardless of the size and
ventilation of the room in which it is lo
cated.
The Vitodens 100 can be installed, for
example, in the living accommodation, in
non-ventilated utility rooms, cupboards
and alcoves with no clearance required
from combustible materials, including in
attic rooms with a direct roof outlet for
the flue gas/ventilation system (AZ sys
tem).

structional unit.
If a flue pipe of a different type is used on
site, it must be connected in accordance
with the guidelines for the approval of
flue systems for low-temperature flue
gases. Group B flue pipes are used for the
Vitodens 100 (suitable for max. flue gas
temperatures of 120°C).
No flue gas temperature protection is re
quired as the maximum permissible flue
gas temperature is not exceeded in any
operating condition or in the event of any
malfunction.
