1. Application

This specification should be applied to the adjustment of the LCD2080UX unit.

2. Basic Operation

2.1 General Conditions

Unless otherwise specified, adjustments should be carried out under the following conditions:
1) Power source voltage: AC 100 - 240V ± 5%, 50/60Hz
2) Equipment to be used: Equipment that can generate an output of the adjusted VG-819/VG-812 unit or
equivalent
3) Connections: Connections are made to the DVI connector (INPUT1) and the D-SUB connector (INPUT2)
of the unit under inspection by means of the connector that can carry each output of the VG-819. The
VIDEO input of the unit being inspected should be changed through INPUT 1/2 according to the
instructions given in each item.
2.2 Basic Operation

2.2.1 Aging

Prior to the adjustment of this model, 30 minutes of aging should be carried out. The method of aging mode
setting should conform to the following:
1) Turn the POWER switch on while there are no inputs of the VIDEO and SYNC signals.
2) Confirm that the information OSM is displayed.
(Press the 3LEFT and 4RIGHT or (+)UP and (-)DOWN key to display the information OSM.)
3) Then, Press the (+)UP and (-)DOWN keys simultaneously with the RESET key kept pressed. Then the
mode moves to the aging mode.
4) If there is no particular operation, an all white screen (16/16 gradation) is displayed.
5) Operate the (+)UP and (-)DOWN keys in this state. Then, operation for the gradation becomes possible.
It is also possible to change the pattern by operating the 3LEFT and 4RIGHT keys.
6) When withdrawing from the aging mode, press the EXIT key or turn off the POWER switch.
During operation in the aging mode, the power save mode is not assumed. The LED maintains the green
display.

2.2.2 Video Input Change

Irrespective of the presence of a signal input, the video input change is possible in the toggle mode by
pressing the INPUT 1/2 key while the OSM display is not presented. When examining the input port after
the accomplishment of input change, such a confirmation can be made according to the OSM display that is
given shortly after the input change.
