TROUBLESHOOTING

Refer to Table 14 below and Table 15 on page 26 for troubleshooting information.
Symptom
The battery indicator is flashing
green.
The battery indicator is alternately
flashing red and green.
Your password (pass code) is not
working.
Limit settings are not accepted.
W8735D picks up, but no humidity,
outdoor temperature, or thermostat
information is given.
W8735D picks up, but only some of
the zone information is given.
The W8735D prompts you for an
input but does not seem to receive
the command.
An alert is generated but the
W8735D does not dial out.

Possible Cause
Input is powered, but the battery
strength is low.
Input is powered, but the battery
is dead.
You may have forgotten your
pass code.
Low limit settings are above the
high limit settings.
The EnviraCOM bus may be
disconnected.
A particular channel or device
may be disconnected.
Key press is too fast or there is a
poor telephone connection.

Number, or Contractor
Number is programmed.

Replace the battery.
Install or replace the battery.
IMPORTANT.
You must call the Honeywell Call Center (800-828-8367)
to have the pass code reset.
If a new pass code is entered, be sure to write it on the
inside cover of the W8735D.
Ensure low limits are set below the high limits settings.
See "Limit Menu" on page 18.
Check wiring to the 1/D, 2/R, 3/B terminals on the
W8735D or the 1, 2, 3 terminals on thermostats or
panels.
Remove the top cover and check the communication
LED on the appropriate circuit board. It should flicker
when the bus is active.

Make sure if you are using a cell phone, a good
connection is established. You may have to move to
another location and call back.
Make sure you fully press down on the telephone key
and a tone is generated with a key press.
