When the Connect Cable screen appears, connect the printer to the computer with
a USB cable.
For Macintosh, click Next.
When the Set Printer IP Address screen appears, check the IP address settings by referring
to Check 4 and onward in "Set Printer IP Address Screen is Displayed" on page 4.

When the Disconnect Cable screen appears, remove the USB cable, then click
Next.
The wired connection setup of the printer is now complete. Click Complete or OK.
Proceed with the setup by following the procedures from "Information" (Windows) or "Registration
(Macintosh)" (Macintosh) in the printed manual: Getting Started.

Make sure that you follow "Connection Checklist" on page 7, then click Connect (A).

Turn off the network device (router, etc.), turn it back on, then click Connect (A).

Make sure that the DHCP function of the network device (router, etc.) is active.
To specify the IP address, refer to
page 5.
For details on how to check settings of the network device, refer to the manual supplied with the
network device or contact its manufacturer.
Activate the DHCP function of the network device, then click Connect (A).

network device or contact its manufacturer.

In Windows, make sure that Get IP address automatically is selected, then click
Connect (A).
In Macintosh, make sure that Get IP address automatically is selected for TCP/IP
Setting (B) in the Set Printer IP Address screen, then click Connect (A).

If the problem is not solved, specify the IP address.
