Settings Basics

Your Fire phone is designed to make most configuration settings automatic, but you can use the Settings
menu to manage your lock screen, ringtones, apps, Internet connection, and more.
There are multiple ways you can access Settings:
Swivel your phone or swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick Actions panel, and
then tap the Settings icon.
From the Home screen, tap the Settings icon in the carousel or app grid.
From an app, select Settings from the left panel (if applicable) to go directly to that specific app's
settings.
To navigate within the Settings menu:
Tap the search field to enter search terms. You can search within Settings or search everywhere on
your phone.
Tap a heading to expand or collapse that section.
Tap the triangle icon at the top to quickly expand or collapse all sections.
Access the right panel to view your Recently Used Settings.
Access the left panel to find more help options.
From the left panel, you can also toggle between the Classic and Detailed versions of the Settings
menu. By default, the Classic view is selected.
Important: In our help pages, we reference the Classic menu options.
