If you don't see a light, your Kindle is not charging. For Fire tablets, the battery percentage is displayed next to the battery icon at the top of the Home screen. If you don't see this, swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Settings, and then tap Device Options.

You can access and download any purchased digital content from the Cloud tab on your device, or deliver content from Manage Your Content and Devices to your device.
Amazon accounts for purchases on Amazon. This will not affect either adult's current payment settings, but each adult will be able to copy the payment method of the other adult to his or her Amazon account to use for purchases on Amazon.
