    Network Control Functions Connecting this unit to a network will enable computer control (remote operation).     Menu Setting Procedures 1. CLOCK SET This sets the unit clock to the current time. Please be sure to set the correct time. Select “Day/Month/Year Hour/Minute” on the pull-down menu on the screen. Click [SET] to set the time. 2. SUMMER TIME SET/EXT. CLOCK SET This sets summer time and time for peripheral devices SUMMER TIME SET This sets start and end times for summer time.

    • OTHERS 2: Select this if a DM or Robot multiplexer is to be used. Channel information can be decoded. When a multiplexer such as Sanyo, SONY, DM or Robot, which are capable of decoding channel information, is connected, playback of a specified camera number is enabled.

    Menu Setting Procedures 4. RECORDING AREA SET The hard disk in this unit consists of three independent recording areas, each of which has five recording modes. Firstly, a percentage of the total capacity is allocated to each recording area (settings are in units of 1%).

    Menu Setting Procedures 5. RECORDING CONDITIONS SET This sets overwrite conditions and remaining disk capacity warning criteria for each recording area. NORMAL RECORDING AREA OVERWRITE (default setting: ON) This specifies whether to stop recording or to continue recording by overwriting images that are currently recorded on the hard disk when the normal recording area has become full.

    Menu Setting Procedures AUDIO RECORDING (default setting: OFF) Audio can also be recorded at the same time in the normal recording area. However, when audio is recorded, since the audio data is recorded in the normal recording area, the recording capacity of the normal recording area will be reduced.

    Menu Setting Procedures 7. TIMER SET This sets start times for recording in the case of timer recording. This sets start and stop times for recording as well as recording cycles for each weekday. Select timer recording conditions for each weekday on the pull-down menu on the screen. Click [SAVE] to complete the adjustments (or changes).

    Menu Setting Procedures 12. BUZZER SET This enables the warning buzzer to sound as necessary, such as when there is an alarm (an alarm trigger has reacted) or when hard disk capacity has been used up. ALARM (default setting: OFF) This enables the buzzer to sound when there is an alarm.

    Recording an Image This unit will record an image or an alarm on the internal hard disk by the specified method while the image is being viewed. For recording, the necessary menu settings should be made beforehand to suit the installation environment.

    Recording an Image Pre-alarm recording This function is complementary to alarm recording. When pre- alarm recording has been set beforehand, not only will the same image be recorded normally in the normal recording area but also in the “alarm recording area”. This means that a certain period of the latest image will always be saved in the alarm recording area, enabling the image immediately before the alarm to be seen when the alarm recording is played back.

    Search Mode Each of the three recording areas has independent search mode functions. Since there are five search modes from the recording areas and image search patterns, click the L L button on the operating panel and select a search mode from the search menu. Enter search mode from live mode (with playback stopped) by clicking the L L button on the operating panel.

    Search Mode 1. ALARM SEARCH This displays a list of all alarm events recorded in the alarm recording area by alarm number. Alarm images are searched by alarm number and played back. During recording or when stopped, select [ALARM SEARCH] from the [SEARCH] menu.

    Search Mode 2. ALARM THUMBNAIL SEARCH This displays thumbnails of all alarm images recorded in the alarm recording area. Alarm images are searched and displayed from thumbnails.
