My computer does not shut down

You are recommended to shut down your computer using the Turn off Computer command on the Windows
Start menu. Using other methods, including those listed here, may result in loss of unsaved data.
If the Turn off Computer command does not work properly, proceed as follows:
1 Shut down the computer by pressing <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<Delete> simultaneously.
The Windows Task Manager screen appears.
2 Choose Shut Down and then Turn off.

If this procedure does not work, slide/press the power switch/button and hold it for at least four seconds*. This
turns off the power. Notebooks: Also unplug the notebook from the mains.

Refer to the next section if there is an application which has prevented proper shutdown.
* This may take six seconds for some desktop models.
