TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
CAUSE
• Incorrect OSD language
• Incorrect match of aspect-ratio
settings to disc
• Copy protection
• Incorrect password is being used or
password has been forgotten
• Screen saver will not activate when
Setup menus are displayed
• Current source is other than
Media Library
• No media is present
• Wrong type of USB drive was inserted
in USB port
• Media was not inserted correctly
SOLUTION
• With most discs, some functions are not permitted at certain
times (e.g., Track Skip) or at all (e.g., direct audio track
selection).
• Change the Language Selected in the Advanced Setup menu.
• Change aspect-ratio setting in the DVD Player Setup menu.
• Many DVDs are encoded with copy protection to prevent
copying to VCR.
• As a last resort, use the Reset Factory Defaults setting in
the Advanced Setup menu, then set a new password using
the Parental Control setting in the DVD Player Setup menu.
All other system settings will need to be reentered, including
naming zones. However, the Media Library's contents,
including playlists, are not affected.
• Clear Setup menus or press Video Off Button to avoid
burn-in on plasma and CRT displays.
• Playlists may only be programmed from content stored
in the Media Library. Transfer the other source's content
to the Media Library, view it from within the Media Library
and then create a playlist.
• Insert the appropriate memory card into one of the card
slots, connect a USB drive to the USB port or insert a disc.
• Only USB drives that do not function as stand-alone MP3
players are compatible. Hard-disc drives that are formatted
using the FAT or FAT32 file system are compatible, but NTFS-
formatted drives are not.
• Remove media and carefully insert it.
