If leaving the appliance for a long
period of time, you can switch
the appliance over to the energy-saving
holiday mode.
The refrigerator compartment
is automatically switched to +14 °C.
The "cool-fresh" compartment
and the freezer compartment retain
the set temperatures.
Do not store any food in the refrigerator
compartment during this time.
When the function is switched on, "HO"
is lit on display 2.
Switching on the function
1. Press "mode" button 8 until
the required special function is
encircled.
2. Acknowledge the selection with
the selection button "+" 9. When
the function is switched on, a triangle
is indicated.
Switching off the function
To switch off, reselect the special
function with the "mode" button 8
and press the selection button "–" 9. The
triangle behind the function disappears
and is therefore switched off.

Alarm function

In the following cases an alarm may be
actuated:
Door alarm
The door alarm switches on if an
appliance door is left open for longer
than one minute. Close the door to
switch off the warning signal.
Temperature alarm
The temperature alarm switches on if
the freezer compartment is too warm
and the frozen food is at risk of thawing.
"AL" flashes on the display 5
and "alarm" is displayed.
When the alarm button 2/6 is pressed,
the freezer compartment display 2/5
indicates for 10 seconds the warmest
temperature reached in the freezer
compartment.
Then this value is deleted. The freezer
compartment temperature display 2/5
then indicates the set temperature.
The alarm may switch on without any risk
to the frozen food:
when the appliance is switched on,
■
when large quantities of fresh food are
■
placed in the appliance,
if the freezer compartment door is
■
open too long.
Note
Do not refreeze thawing or thawed food.
It can only be refrozen when it has been
used to prepare a ready meal (boiled
or fried).
No longer store the frozen produce for
the max. storage period.
Rapid cooling alarm
The rapid cooling alarm switches on if
the function for the rapid cooling of
drinks was switched on with the timer
button 2/4.
The drinks are cooled ready.
