LCD panel /Prism assembly and LCD panel
removal.
1. Remove 4 screws A and remove the LCD panel /Prism assembly. To readjust some of
the adjustment items is needed after reassembly. See note-1.
2. See note-2, before the LCD panel removal.
3. Remove 3 screws B and remove the LCD panel. To readjust some of the adjustment
items is needed after reassembly. See note-1.
Caution:
Handle with care !
The LCD panel/Prism assembly is a precision part. Be sure to handle this part
with special attention. Observe the following notes.
1. Be careful not to hit the LCD panel with the screwdriver. It may damage the parts and
alignment.
2. Don't touch the LCD panel and prism part directly with hand. Otherwise
the optical parts may get dirty.
3. Since the LCD panel is equipped with CMOS-LSI, pay attention to stat-
ic electricity. And don't touch the electrode on flexible cable.

Note :
Note-1
When the LCD panel /Prism assembly or the LCD-panel
is replaced with new one, readjust the following adjust-
ment items.
* Focus adjustment of LCD Panel
* Convergence adjustment of LCD Panel
* 12. Flicker reduction
* 13. White balance adjustments
* 14. Unevenness color correction
But when the whole LCD panel /prism assembly is
replaced with new one, to readjust the "Convergence
Adjustment of LCD Panel" is unnecessary. (Factory
Convergence adjustment of LCD panel for new LCD
panel /prism assembly has completed.)
Note-2 :
Don't remove the LCD panels Red, Green and Blue
simultaneously! It becomes impossible to adjust a con-
vergence, if all the LCD panels are simultaneously
replaced. When all the LCD panels are damaged, we rec-
ommend to replace the whole LCD panel /prism assem-
bly with new one.
Figure may be different from actual parts.
