IMPORTANT
Depending on the reception conditions, the station names
may not be stored correctly, and auto Guide Program
Number Set may not work properly. If the Guide Program
numbers are not set properly, S
( pg. 28) will not work correctly; be sure to check if the
Guide Program numbers have been set correctly
( pg.10, "S V Setup").
HOW IEW
Since your video recorder memorizes all detected
stations even if the reception condition is poor, some of
those stored stations may produce a noisy picture. To
delete those stations,

Press PUSH JOG% fi to
move the highlight bar
(pointer) to the
language of your
choice , then press OK
to initiate Auto
Channel Set.
The Auto Set screen
appears, and
remains on screen
while the recorder searches for receivable stations. As
Auto Channel Set progresses, the "
screen moves from left to right. Wait until the screen
as shown in step 6 appears.

The stations your recorder
located appear on a
Confirmation screen —
channel positions (PR),
channels (CH) and station
names (ID– pg. 46). To
view the next page of the
listing, press PUSH
JOG%fi . The blueback
screen and the program
currently being broadcast by the
blinking station appear alternately for 5 seconds each.
The stations located in the selected country appear at
the top of the list.
The Guide Program numbers will also be set
automatically during Auto Channel Set.

Press MENU.
Depending on the reception conditions, the stations
may not be stored in order, and the station names
may not be stored correctly.
Using the Confirmation screen, you can skip or add
channel positions, enter station names and perform
other operations. Refer to pages 44 – 45 for the
procedures.
For information on scrambled broadcasts, refer to
page 44.
NOTE:
Fine tuning is performed automatically during Auto Channel
Set. If you want to perform it manually, refer to page 45.
