Hold down the [USE] button for 2 seconds or
more respective to the new hard disk.
→ The buzzer will start sounding and the selected
hard disk will be mounted. (The button will start
blinking orange.)
When mounting of the hard disk is complete, the
button will start blinking green.
Note:
When the write protection for the hard disk is on, the
write protection indicator will light after completing
mounting the hard disk.

Hold down the [FORMAT] button respective to
the newly inserted hard disk for 5 seconds or
more.
→ The buzzer will start sounding and formatting of
the hard disk will start. (The button will start blink-
ing green.)
When formatting of the hard disk is complete, the
button will go off and the respective [USE] button
will light green.
Notes:
• Once the hard disk is removed, it is impossible to
record on this hard disk even after inserting the hard
disk again. Only playback is available.
To record on this hard disk, format it with this unit again.
(Refer to the setup instructions (PDF) for further infor-
mation.)
• It is impossible to format a hard disk when the write pro-
tection is on for it.
• Refer to the operating instructions (PDF) for how to
operate the mirroring function.

Close the front cover and turn the key counter-
clockwise to lock the panel.

Check the contents of the hard disk.
→ It is possible to check the following relating to the
hard disk on the "Disk Information" page of
"Maintenance". Refer to the setup instructions
(PDF) for further information.
• Total disk space
• Hour meter
• ON/OFF for write protection
• Time and date when the images recorded
• Remaining disk space
