    Installation of the inverter and enclosure design 1.4 Installation of the inverter and enclosure design When an inverter enclosure is to be designed and manufactured, heat generated by contained equipment, etc., the environment of an operating place, and others must be fully considered to determine the enclosure structure, size and equipment layout.

In the atmosphere where conductive powder floats, dust and dirt will cause such faults as malfunction, deteriorated insulation and short circuit in a short time.

    Wiring 2.1.2 EMC filter This inverter is equipped with a built-in EMC filter (capacitive filter) and zero-phase reactor. Effective for reduction of air-propagated noise on the input side of the inverter. The EMC filter is factory-set to enable (ON). To disable it, fit the EMC filter ON/OFF connector to the OFF position. The input side zero-phase reactor, built-in the 01800 or less inverter, is always valid regardless of on/off of the EMC filter on/off connector.

Since its value depends on the capacitances, carrier frequency, etc., low acoustic noise operation at the increased carrier frequency of the inverter will increase the leakage current.

Though the inverter is designed to be insusceptible to noises, it handles low-level signals, so it requires the following basic techniques.

As the current is liable to be imbalanced especially in the input side, it is recommended to use the three-wattmeter method.
