8. System Control

The selection of the Dsub RGB signal and BNC or RCA RGB/Component signal is performed at IC9013<RGB/COM-
PONENT-SW> by the signal "AV1/AV2_SW" applied on pin 22. The selection of horiz. and vert. sync signals of PC1
and PC2 is performed at IC9027<SYNC SELECTOR> by the signal "AV1/AV2" on pins 9 and 10.
The selection of input signal from BNC and RCA terminals is preformed at IC2081<RCA/BNC-SW> by the signal
"RCA/BNC" applied on pin 22.
IC810<CPU> outputs signals "AV1/AV2_SW" and "RCA/BNC_SW" through the parallel bus lines<D[0]-[7]> and
IC6718<BUFFER>, and finally output from pins 19 and 16 of IC6755<D/A>.
The signal "M_OUT" applied on pin 1 of IC3011<MONITOR RGB-SW>, pins 1 and 7 of IC3021<MONITOR SYNC-
SW> switches ANALOG RGB Monitor output on or off. The signal "M_OUT" is output from pin 13 of IC4801<I/O EX-
PANDER> to pin 8 of IC5825<BUFFER> and the output from pin 12.
Remote Control
This projector provides 2 type of remote control methods, RF(Radio Frequency) remote control and wired remote
control. The RC signal is received at RF module and output as RXD_RF and RXD_RF signal. The signals through the
LCD DRIVE unit are applied to pins 191 and 198 of IC801<CPU> on the MAIN unit as the signal "TX_PAD_RF" and
"RX_PAD_RF". The RC signal from the RC jack is sent to pin 4 of IC3805<OP-AMP> and output from pin 3 as the
signal "W_RD". The signal "W_RD" is sent to pin 5 of IC4802<I/O EXPANDER> and finally delivered to IC801<CPU>.
The signal "W_SW" signal is a detection signal RC jack is inserted or not. This signal is input to pin 22 of IC4802
through the IC3805.
Various sensors
- Airflow Sensor (SS901)
The airflow sensor measure airflow at the air filter and sends data to the IC801<CPU>. When the airflow becomes
less than a certain value, IC801 turns the FILTER LED on. (BLOW_SENS)
- Thermal Sensor Switch
Lamp1 Sensor (SW911)
When the temperature of the Lamp1 becomes more than a certain value, IC801 turns projector off. (SHUTDOWN1)
Lamp2 Sensor (SW912)
When the temperature of the Lamp2 becomes more than a certain value, IC801 turns projector off. (SHUTDOWN1)
Panel(Polalized glass) thermistor (SW913)
When the temperature of the panel becomes more than a certain value, IC801 turns projector off. (TEMP_LCD)
Shutter Sensor (SW914)
When the temperature of the Shutter becomes more than a certain value, IC801 turns projector off. (MS_THERMO)
