    MODEL: WD-57831 / WD-65831 / WD-73831 INTRODUCTION This service manual provides service instructions for the V33Y and V33+ chassis type. The specfic models for each chassis type, dimensions and weight are listed below. Service personnel should read this manual thoroughly before servicing these chassis.

WARNING: Operation of this receiver outside the cabinet or with the cover removed presents a shock hazard from the receiver's power supplies.

  • Page 11 MODEL: WD-57831 / WD-65831 / WD-73831 PWB-DM Removal After removing PWB-SIGNAL: 1) Remove 9 screws (A) from the PWB-DM. 2) Remove 2 hex screws (B) from the DVI connector. 3) Lift the PWB-DM from the chassis box. If PWB-DM is replaced, transfer the PWB-E2P from the old DM to the new DM.

    MODEL: WD-57831 / WD-65831 / WD-73831 Optical Engine Removal 57” & 65” Engine (xHD5) Removal from cabinet XHD5 Engine Removal Procedure 1) Remove 2 locking screws (b). 2) Loosen one adjust screws (a). Less adjustment will be required when the Engine is installed.

  • Page 17 MODEL: WD-57831 / WD-65831 / WD-73831 WD-73831 Front Disassembly FRONT DISASSEMBLY PROCEDURE 1) From the rear of the TV, remove the 2 screw “B”, and 6 outer screws “A” from each side of the TV. 2) Pull the right and left GRILLE-SIDEs from the front of the TV.

There are three front panel LEDs, “Power”, “Status” and “Lamp”. Which LED is lit, the color and whether it is blinking or steady indicate the current status, or a possible malfunction.
