Using Local VMjPC Services
Several people can share the 370 system but only one person
can use it at a time.
If
many users have access to your IBM
Personal Computer XT/370, you can control access to
VM/PC and to each users' data. This process is described in
Chapter 3, "Configuring Your VM/PC System" on page
3-1.
If
you are familiar with VM on a 3277 Display, you will at
once notice the differences between that keyboard and the
IBM Personal Computer keyboard. The VM/PC key
selection closely adheres to the function of the key on the
IBM Personal Computer. The VM/PC keyboard layout is
described in Chapter 4, "Getting Started" on page 4-1.
VM/PC commands are format compatible with VM systems.
Some commands and options have been modified or deleted
to accommodate the IBM Personal Computer XT/370
environment. Some commands and options have been added
for the same reason. The CP and CMS commands are
described in Chapter 7, "VM/PC Commands" on page 7-1.
