MSC mode transfers
If your computer does not have Windows Media Player 10 and Service Pack 1 (or greater) installed,
the Rio Carbon C will default to MSC mode functionality.

Connect the Rio Carbon C to a computer using the supplied USB cable.

Double-click My Computer on the Windows Desktop or in the Start Menu.

Locate MP3 or WMA audio files on the computer.

Select files and/or folders to transfer to the Rio Carbon C.

Click Edit.

Click Copy.

Double-click My Computer on the Windows Desktop or in the Start Menu to open another
window.

In the new window, locate the device icon that is associated with the Rio Carbon C.

Double-click the Rio Carbon C icon.

Select a folder to add tracks to.

Click Edit.

Click Paste.
NOTE: Playlists on your computer can be transfered to the Rio Carbon C just like audio tracks. When
a playlist is transfered to the Rio Carbon C, all of the tracks listed in the playlist are also transferred to
the Rio Carbon C.
