The graph below shows the growth of 2 segments, one is 20-24 cpm low-end category and the other is 25-36 cpm
main category. The MX-2610N, MX-3110N and MX-3610N fit to 25-36 cpm category.
Until 2007, the majority of colour category was 25-36 cpm, but since 2008, the low-end category around 20-22 cpm
has risen and the sales have dramatically increased.
In 2010, it is 134.0% vs. LY in 20-24 cpm category. On the other hand, it is 107.5% vs. LY in 25-36 cpm category.
And market size of these 2 categories will be 55.1% from 25-36 cpm category .
So, from a market growth point of view, the low-end category is quite attractive, but still main category of A3 colour
MFP is the category which the new models are targeted at.
