Lock your screen
To avoid accidental presses, lock the screen.
Locking your smartphone doesn't disable
alerts for incoming calls or messages.
Press the Power/Lock
key on the top of your
smartphone.

To unlock the screen, swipe up from the
bottom of the screen.
Set a password
To help avoid unauthorized use of your
smartphone, you can set a device password.
1. Swipe down from the top of the Home
screen and tap Settings > Security and
Privacy > Device Password.
2. Set the Enable Device Password switch
to On.
3. Enter a password.
To lock your smartphone, press and hold
the Power/Lock key on the top of your
smartphone. Tap

To unlock your smartphone, swipe up from
the bottom of the screen and then type
your password.
Record your password for future use.
