Synchronizing Remotely

You can synchronize remotely with your desktop computer, or with a server, if you have set up
Server ActiveSync.

Synchronizing Remotely with a Desktop Computer

N O T E
To synchronize remotely with a desktop computer, it must be turned on.
1.
Connect to your corporate network. (See section 4.2, Data Connections.)
2.
On the Home screen, press the Programs soft key, select ActiveSync, and then press the
Action button.
3.
Press the Menu soft key, select Options , and then press the Action button.
4.
Select PC Settings, and then press the Action button.
5.
Select Include PC sync remotely when synchronizing, and then press the Action button to
check this option.
6.
Under Connect To, select the appropriate computer name.
7.
Press the Done soft key.
8.
To start synchronization, press the Sync soft key.

Synchronizing Remotely with a Server

1.
Set up the Server ActiveSync. (See the previous section.)
2.
Connect to your corporate network. (See "Data Connections" in section 4.2.)
3.
On the Home screen, press the Programs soft key, select ActiveSync, and then press the
Action button.
4.
Press the Menu soft key, select Options, and then press the Action button.
5.
Select the information type to synchronize with the server, press the Action button, select the
Synchronize xxx (xxx indicates information type).
6.
Press the Done soft key.
