TV, you can refer to this manual for instructions to make the connections. Your Motorola VIP1002E set-top has outputs to many types of audio and video devices. Your service provider will make the optimal connection to your television at initial installation of your service, or you can make them yourself by following the simple diagrams provided in this guide.
Rear Panel The following illustration shows the rear panel of the VIP1002E. Figure 2: Rear Panel Item Function Power Connector for the DC power adapter. Reset Reboots the VIP1002E, and resets all functions to the original factory settings. Use only when directed by service provider personnel.
Operation Turning Power On and Off To power up the VIP1002E set-top, connect the DC adapter cable to the set-top, and then connect the power adapter to the AC inlet. Do not connect the power supply unit to the AC source first and then to the set-top.

IMPORTANT: The very best audio and video connection for an HDMI TV is from the HDMI output on the VIP1002E set-top. If you have an HDTV with DVI input, then you should purchase an HDMI-to-DVI adapter to connect between your DVI TV and the HDMI output on the VIP1002E set-top.
