Common Operations Common Operations Setting the Clock Before operating the unit any further, first set the clock built in this unit. Press PANEL OPEN/CLOSE 5. The unit is turned on and the Powered Rolling Panel opens automatically. Press TIMER/CLOCK h. The hour digits start flashing on the display.

Creating Your Own Sound Mode — Manual Mode You can change SEA pattern to suit your preference. These changed setting can be stored in the MANUAL 1, 2, and 3 modes. • There is a time limit in doing the following steps. If the setting is cancelled before you finish, start from step 1 again.
Playing Back Audio CDs Playing Back Audio CDs Placing CDs Press 0 e for the disc tray (CD 1 to 3) you want to load a CD onto. The unit automatically turns on and the disc tray comes out. The Powered Rolling Panel also opens automatically.

Listening to FM and AM Broadcasts Listening to FM and AM Broadcasts Tuning in a Station On the unit On the unit ONLY Press FM/AM u. The unit automatically turns on and tunes in the previously tuned station (either FM or AM). The Powered Rolling Panel automatically opens.
Playing Back Tapes Playing Back Tapes You can play back type I, type II and type IV tapes without changing any settings. Playing Back a Tape Press EJECT (0) w/o for the deck you want to use. For Deck A Put a cassette in, with the exposed part of the tape down.
• If the tape direction is not correct, press TAPE 2 3 7, - twice then 7 z, _ to change the tape direction. Start playing the source — FM, AM*, CD player, deck A or auxiliary equipment connected to AUX jacks.
“CD REC” appears, and the lights up on the display. Deck B starts recording and the CD player starts playing. When the recording is done, “CD REC FINISHED” appears on the display, and the CD player and deck B stop.

Using the Timers Using the Timers There are three timers available — Recording Timer, Daily Timer, and Sleep Timer. Before using the timers, you need to set the clock built in the unit. (See page 7.) Using Daily Timer With Daily Timer, you can wake to your favorite music or radio program.
