The 6.2L V8 offers Flex Fuel (E85) capability. This allows the engine to operate on E85 fuel — a blend of
85 percent ethanol fuel and 15 percent unleaded gasoline. The 6.2L V8 can run on E85 fuel, regular unleaded
gasoline or any combination of the two. It's important to note that while operating on E85, the 6.2L V8 will also
deliver measurably less fuel economy. This is normal, since E85 has less energy as a fuel, it takes more E85 to
make the same power as unleaded gasoline.
Why it's important
The primary benefits of E85 fuel are that it's made from renewable resources to help lower our dependence
on imported oil and lower greenhouse gas emissions.

MAKE THE POINT:
Organic Acid Technology Engine Coolant
Customers should know all Super Duty Pickups
(gasoline engine and diesel engine equipped) feature
Organic Acid Technology (OAT) engine coolant. The
most obvious trait of the engine coolant is the orange
color, but there are key maintenance items the
customer should be made aware of:
• O AT coolant should be replenished at 105,000
miles, under normal operating conditions
• A ntifreeze and anti-corrosion protection of the
coolant and hoses should be inspected every
15,000 miles
• M ixing any other traditional engine coolants
will greatly reduce the operating characteristics
of the OAT engine coolant or may cause engine
damage which could jeopardize provisions of the
engine warranty
