The Free to Air Guide is blank

I can not set the correct aspect ratio

Lost part of my show because it went longer then the recording time set

Can not connect my external HDD

• Move to every channel and give the recorder a few min-
utes to populate the guide for each channel.
• Factory reset and re scan all the services in the INSTAL-
LATION part of the MENU.
• Check the broadcaster sends a Free to Air guide for that
service.
• Change the aspect ratio on the Topfield box by pressing

button on the Topfield remote. 16:9/4:3

• Check the aspect ratio on your TV. Refer to the user guide
of you TV for information about this procedure.
• Check the broadcast of the program. For example some
programs are only broadcasted in 4:3
• When setting a Reservation add an extra few minutes to
the Duration to cover for programs going over the pre-
dicted time.
• When recording off the Free to Air guide press the
button twice on the Topfield remote and adjust the dura-
tion to cover for programs going over the predicted time.
• Adjust the Padding in the Settings > Recording > Time
Padding of Timer Recording. Adjust according to per-
sonal preference.
• Make sure external HDD is formatted in NTFS, then re-
formatted to the system when it is connected. This will
ensure that the hard drive is ready to use and the full
capacity is available.
• The HDD must not be more then 1000 GB (1 TB)
• You must make sure that the external HDD is self pow-
ered
