Instrument Panel; Engine Oil Level Indicator - CITROEN C6 Owner's Handbook Manual

On switching on the ignition, the
instrument panel indicates :
• Firstly, in suceesion :
- Maintenance indicator. See
« Maintenance indicator ».
- The engine oil level indicator.
• Secondly :
- The total and trip mileage
counters.

ENGINE OIL LEVEL INDICATOR

This display indicates
operation.
The flashing of « OIL » accompa-
nied by a message, a sound signal
and lighting of the SERVICE warn-
ing lamp indicates an engine oil
level lower than minimum.
Check using the manual dipstick.
See « Levels ».
Check the engine oil level on hori-
zontal ground with the engine
having been switched off for at
least 15 minutes.
Contact a CITROËN dealer.
an incorrect engine oil level can seriously damage your engine.

normal A flashing of « OIL – – » indicates
a malfunctioning of the indicator.
Contact a CITROËN dealer.
