D i a g n o s t i c s
This section describes the diagnostics designed to confirm proper installation of the DCT2000.
The diagnostics include checking error states and signal integrity, as well as provisions to
identify the DCT2000 on the network and to verify communications with the headend. The
diagnostic information is displayed on the front-panel LED and the On-Screen-Display.
For diagnostics provided in this appendix:
All indicators are in decimal notation unless otherwise noted.
All signal-level and quality indicators are based on a 0 to 100% scale, unless otherwise
noted.
All screens self-refresh at a minimum rate of once every five seconds.
All sample displays are illustrative; actual data will differ from the examples.
The diagnostic screens are available for DCT 7.54 code and beyond. Previous versions of
DCT code are subsets.
For diagnostics information on other DCT models, reference the installation manual for each
model.
A c c e s s i n g D i a g n o s t i c s
When accessing the DCT2000 diagnostic mode the following commands are helpful:

to turn on the DCT2000
