4.6 Registering IP Telephones

4.6.1 Registering IP Telephones
After the programming of the PBX and IP telephone is finished, the IP telephone must be registered to the
PBX. This is done using the Maintenance Console.
Registration of IP-PTs
a.
1.
Under Configuration, click Slot.
b.
When registering with V-IPEXT32 Card:
Move the mouse pointer over the small PBX
image for virtual slots, and click Select Shelf.
Move the mouse pointer over the V-IPEXT32
card. A menu will be shown under the mouse
pointer.
When registering with IP-EXT Card:
Move the mouse pointer over the IP-EXT card. A
menu will be shown under the mouse pointer.

Click Port Property.
To register the IP-PT by entering the MAC address directly:

If the Connection column for the port is INS, click
INS, and then click OUS on the dialog box to change
the port's status.

Enter the MAC address of the IP-PT in the IP Phone
Registration ID (MAC Address) box.

Click Apply.
Once the IP-PT is successfully registered, the status
of the IP-PT will update to show "Registered".
5.
In the Connection column for the port, click OUS, and
then click INS on the dialog box to change the port's
status.
To register the IP-PT using the wizard:

Click Registration.
A dialog box will appear. Non-registered (available)
extension numbers and names are displayed on the
left.
