Operating Tips
(continued)
Previewing the subject
To preview, lightly press the shutter button and hold it there. The
lens will spin and bring the subject into sharp focus. If you press
the shutter button too hard you will accidentally take a picture.
Holding the camera
When holding the camera during picture-taking, be sure to keep
your fingers away from the front of the camera. Blocking the exit
slot will prevent the film from ejecting.
Flash tips
For best indoor results, the subject should be from 10.4 inches
(26cm) to 14 feet (4.25m) away and near a light-colored
background.
Always use the flash for outdoor pictures. This will soften harsh
facial shadows caused by bright sunlight. In the shade, it will
provide additional light.
Photographing a daylight scene through the window
To avoid a flash reflection, slide the flash switch to the OFF
position.
To avoid focusing on the window, press the manual focus switch,
then focus manually by turning the focus wheel until the scene is in
sharp focus.
