F Focus Mode
R Manual Focus
• Use the I CONTROL RING option in the setup menu (P 115) to reverse the direction
of rotation of the control ring.
• The camera will not focus if the control ring is rotated past infi nity.
• To focus using autofocus, press the selector left. This can be used to quickly focus on
a chosen subject in manual focus mode.
R If a face is detected when b is selected, a o icon will be displayed and the cam-
era will continuously adjust focus to maintain focus on the face.

If ON is selected for j FOCUS CHECK
in the setup menu (P 115), rotating the
control ring magnifi es the view in the
LCD monitor.
R The focus check area can be scrolled
(P 59).
The outlines with the most contrast at the current focus distance can be viewed by
selecting FOCUS PEAK HIGHLIGHT for c MF ASSIST (P 100).
