Battery status Battery status
Battery status is shown as follows:
Indicator Indicator
D (white) Battery partially discharged.
C (white)
Battery more than half discharged.
B (red) Low battery. Charge as soon as possible.
A (blinks red) Battery exhausted. Charge battery.
a (yellow)
Battery charging.
h (green)
Charging complete.
s (red)
Battery fault. See page 129.
No icon Operating in external power mode.
Bright Ambient Lighting Bright Ambient Lighting
Refl ections and glare caused by bright ambient lighting may make it hard to see
the display in the monitor, particularly when the camera is used outdoors. This can
be addressed by holding the E-Fn button to trigger outdoor mode. This function
is available in the shooting mode. Outdoor mode can also be enabled using the
A SCREEN SET-UP > MONITOR SUNLIGHT MODE option (P 117).
