Preparation

It's a good idea to read all of the instructions before beginning the installation.
Tools and Supplies
The following tools and supplies are needed to install the radio.
Torx type, flat-head and Phillips screwdrivers
Wire cutters and strippers
Tools to remove existing radio (screwdriver, socket wrench set or other tools)
Electrical tape
Crimping tool
Volt meter/test light
Crimp connections
18 gauge wire for power connections
16 - 18 gauge speaker wire
Speaker Requirements
Only connect speakers rated in the load impedance of 4 ohms. Speakers with a load
impedance less than 4 ohms could damage the unit.
Disconnect Battery
Before you begin, always disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Prepare Radio
1.
Remove half sleeve - Press the metal levers on both sides to remove the half-sleeve
from the radio.

Remove transport screws - Remove screws before inserting a CD.

    Fuses When replacing a fuse, make sure the new fuse is the correct type and amperage. Using an incorrect fuse could damage the radio. The MPH4210 uses one 15 amp fuse located below the wiring connector: 15 amp, AGC. Reconnect Battery When wiring is complete, reconnect the battery negative terminal.

    Installation Final Installation Connect wiring adapter to existing wiring harness. Connect antenna lead. Slide radio chassis into half-sleeve. Secure radio to bracket using nut (if possible). Replace any items you removed from the dashboard. Final ISO-DIN Installation Remove trim ring. Mount factory brackets on new radio using existing screws from old radio.

    Basic Operation 1. Motorized Front Panel Power Press the button at the top left corner of the front panel to turn the unit on (there is a hidden button behind this quadrant). The front panel will rotate 180 degrees and the unit will turn on. Variable Viewing Angle The front panel angle can be adjusted to accommodate different dash/installation configurations.

    Press the MON button (21) to select mono or stereo mode. You can sometimes improve reception of distant stations by selection mono operation.
