1: Unreadable language was selected by
mistake.
• Press the [MENU] button and select

3: When the shutter button is pressed
halfway, a red lamp sometimes turns
on.
• In dark places, the AF assist lamp (P74)
lights red to make it easier to focus on a
subject.
4: The AF assist lamp does not turn on.
• Is [AF ASSIST LAMP] on the [REC]
mode menu set to [ON]?
• Are you taking pictures in a dark place?
– The AF assist lamp does not turn on
in bright places.
• The AF assist lamp does not turn on
when [SCENERY] (P58), [NIGHT
SCENERY] (P59), [FIREWORKS]
(P62), or [SELF PORTRAIT] (P64) in
scene mode is selected.
5: The camera is getting warmer.
• The surface of the camera may get
warmer during use. This does not
cause a problem with the performance
or quality of the camera.

• When brightness has changed due to
the zoom or the movement of the
camera or other, the lens may click and
the picture on the screen may be
drastically changed, however, the
pictures are not affected.
The sound is caused by automatic
adjustment of the aperture.

7: The clock setting is reset.
• If you do not use the camera for a long
time, the clock setting may be reset.
When the message [PLEASE SET THE
CLOCK] appears, set the clock again.
• When you take a picture before setting

8: Colours that were actually not around
the subject appear on the picture.
• On the camera, colour shift may appear
by the characteristic of the lens.
