Options while on calls

Volume control

Using a cordless handset:
You
can set the listening volume to one of six levels.
on a call, press q
p
/VOLUME to increase the listening volume.
DIR
Using the telephone base:
You
can set the listening volume to one of eight levels.
While on a call, press qVOLUME to decrease or
VOLUMEp to increase the listening volume.
NOTES:
Handset and speakerphone volume settings are independent.
When the volume reaches the minimum or maximum setting, you hear two beeps.

Call waiting

If you subscribe to call waiting service from your telephone service provider,
you hear two beeps if someone calls while you are already on a call.
Press
�HONE
put your current call on hold and take the new call.
Press
�HONE/
any time to switch back and forth between calls.
NOTE: Missed call waiting calls are not counted as missed calls.

Mute

Use the mute function to turn off the microphone. You can
hear the caller, but the caller cannot hear you.
To mute a call:
• While on a call, press MUTE/
MUTE on the telephone base. When mute is on, the
handset or telephone base shows Muted for a few
seconds. The MUTE icon displays on the handset screen
or the MUTE button lights up on the base until you turn
it off.
To end mute a call:
• Press MUTE/
Microphone ON appears temporarily on the handset or telephone base.
/VOLUME to decrease or press
CID
/FLA�H on the handset or FLA�H on the telephone base to
FLA�H on your handset or FLA�H on the telephone base at
or MUTE again. When mute is off,
