Once you have installed the battery, the screen indicates the battery status (see table below). If necessary, place the handset in the handset charger to charge the battery. For best performance, keep the handset in the handset charger when not in use.

    Getting started Installation options The telephone base comes with the mounting bracket set for tabletop use. If you want to mount your telephone on a wall, swivel the mounting bracket down so the telephone can connect with a standard dual-stud telephone wall mounting plate.

You can add new handsets (AT&T CL80100, available separately) to your telephone system, but must register each device with the telephone base before use (see page 69).
