S t A R t I N G / S t O P P I N G

Starting the engine

reMOTe cONTrOl key
With key  in the ignition switch, turn it fully on.
Once the engine has started, release it.
Note: on diesel versions, several seconds may
pass between turning the key and the engine start-
ing to allow for engine preheating.
vehicle fitted with automatic transmission
Before starting, position the lever at N or p.
reNAUlT cArD
With the remote control RENAULT card in reader 3
or the hands-free RENAULT card in the interior de-
tection zone (excluding certain high locations such
as the sun visor, etc.) apply the following starting
conditions:
Manual gearbox
With the gear lever in neutral, press button 2.

Automatic transmission
With the lever in position p, press button 2.
Note: for vehicles fitted with the hands-free
RENAULT card, the brake pedal must be depressed
to allow the engine to be started.
Stopping the engine
reMOTe cONTrOl key
With the vehicle stopped, turn the key towards
you.
reNAUlT cArD
With the vehicle stationary, press button 2.

Accessing functions
Turn the key through two positions in order to
access certain functions (radio, navigation, wipers
etc.).
Hands-free card version
Depending on the case, these functions will switch
off at the latest when the vehicle is locked.
