S T A R T I N G / S T O P P I N G

Starting the engine

VEHICLE WITH KEY
With the key 1 in the ignition, turn it fully on. Once
the engine has started, release it.
Note: On diesel versions, several seconds may
pass between turning the key and the engine start-
ing to allow for engine preheating.
T H E
Vehicle fitted with an automatic transmission
Before starting, position the gear lever on P and
turn the key as far as it will go to start the engine.
VEHICLE WITH CARD
With the RENAULT card in the interior detection
zone, ready the vehicle to start, as follows:
Manual gearbox
With the gear-lever in neutral or with the clutch

pedal depressed, depress the brake or clutch pedal
and the START/STOP button 2 at the same time to
start the engine.
Automatic transmission
With the lever in position P, depress the brake
pedal and the button START/STOP 2 at the same
time to start the engine.

Stopping the engine
VEHICLE WITH KEY
With the vehicle stopped, turn the key towards you.
VEHICLE WITH CARD
With the vehicle stationary, press the button
marked START/STOP 2.
Depending on the case, certain functions (radio,
navigation, wipers, etc.), except the main beam
headlights, may be switched off at the latest when
the vehicle is locked.
