Formatting a Memory Card

✤ You can use the FORMAT function to completely
delete all still images/motion clips and options on the
Memory Card, including protected still images/motion
clips.
✤ The format function restores the Memory Card to its
initial state.
✤ The Memory Stick supplied with this camcorder has
been formatted already.
1. Turn your camera on by setting the Power Switch to
(CAMERA) mode.
2. Press the MENU button.

3. Press the LEFT or RIGHT button to select
then press the DOWN button.

The submenu including "FORMAT" is displayed.
4. Press the DOWN or UP button to select "FORMAT",
then press the RIGHT button.

The available options are listed: YES and NO.
5. Highlight your option by pressing the DOWN or UP
button, then press the OK button.
6. If "YES" is selected, message "FORMAT:OK" appears
on the LCD monitor.

If "OK" is selected, message "PLEASE WAIT"
appears on the LCD monitor and then "FORMAT
DONE" appears when the format is completed.
Reference
✤ If you execute the FORMAT function, all still
images/motion clips will be erased completely and
erased still images/motion clips cannot be recovered.
✤ Formatting the memory card using a different device
will cause memory card read errors.
✤ Formatting the memory card deletes all the stored data
in the memory card.
✤ Do not turn the power off in the middle of the formatting.

Formátování pamûÈové karty
✤ Funkci FORMAT (FORMÁTOVÁNÍ) mÛÏete pouÏít k
úplnému smazání v‰ech statick˘ch snímkÛ nebo
videoklipÛ a moÏností uloÏen˘ch na pamûÈové kartû, a to
vãetnû chránûn˘ch snímkÛ a klipÛ.
✤ Funkce formátování obnoví pÛvodní stav pamûÈové karty.
✤ Karta Memory Stick dodaná s touto videokamerou je jiÏ
naformátována.
1. Zapnûte fotoaparát nastavením hlavního vypínaãe do
reÏimu (CAMERA) (FOTOAPARÁT).
2. Stisknûte tlaãítko MENU (NABÍDKA).

Zobrazí se hlavní nabídka obsahující moÏnost
(SET)(NASTAVIT).
3. Stisknutím tlaãítka LEFT nebo RIGHT zvolte poloÏku
(SET) a pak stisknûte tlaãítko DOWN.

Zobrazí se podnabídka "FORMAT" (FORMÁTOVAT).
4. Stisknutím tlaãítek DOWN nebo UP vyberte moÏnost
"FORMAT" a stisknûte tlaãítko RIGHT.

Zobrazí se dostupné moÏnosti: YES a NO.
5. Stisknutím tlaãítek UP nebo DOWN vyberte poÏadovanou
moÏnost a poté stisknûte tlaãítko OK.
6. Vyberete-li moÏnost "YES", zobrazí se na monitoru LCD
zpráva FORMAT:OK.

Pokud vyberete moÏnost OK, zobrazí se na monitoru
LCD zpráva "PLEASE WAIT" (POâKEJTE PROSÍM)
a po dokonãení formátování se zobrazí zpráva
FORMAT DONE.
Poznámka
✤ Pokud spustíte funkci FORMAT, budou v‰echny statické
snímky a videoklipy úplnû vymazány a takto smazané
snímky a klipy jiÏ nelze obnovit.
✤ Formátování pamûÈové karty pomocí jiného zafiízení
mÛÏe zpÛsobit chyby pfii ãtení karty.
✤ Formátováním pamûÈové karty budou vymazána v‰echna
data uloÏená na kartû.
✤ V prÛbûhu formátování nevypínejte napájení.
