Remove handle from top of motor
housing, then remove dirt cup.
Cut data label along seam on

back of motor housing.

Disconnect the two wires from

battery terminals.
Dispose of battery pack in accor-
dance with you state's laws.
Your local area may have a recycling
center or collection system for dispos-
al of Ni-Cd batteries.

Remove 5 screws from motor

housing as shown.
Pull motor assembly from housing.
Remove tape from battery pack.

Lubrication

Lubrication is not necessary since
the motor and brush roll bearings
are permanently lubricated.
