have an iron content). Use a high speed setting for cutting soft metals (aluminum,
copper, brass, mild steel, galvanized. pipe, conduit sheet metal, etc.). Use lower speed
to cut plastics, tile, laminate, hard metals, and cast iron.

MAINTENANCE

Cleaning
Never use solvents or other harsh chemicals for cleaning the non-metallic parts of
the tool. These chemicals may weaken the plastic materials used in these parts. Use
a cloth dampened only with water and mild soap.
Do not use gasoline, turpentine, lacquer or paint thinner, dry cleaning fluids or similar
products. Never let any liquid get inside the tool; never immerse any part of the tool
into a liquid.
CHARGER CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: Disconnect the charger from the AC outlet before cleaning. Dirt
and grease may be removed from the exterior of the charger using a cloth or soft
non-metallic brush. Do not use water or any cleaning solutions.
Lubrication
NOTE: NEVER spray or in any other way apply lubricants or cleaning solvents inside
the tool. This can seriously affect the life and performance of the tool.

WALT tools are properly lubricated at the factory and are ready for use. However, it

is recommended that, once a year, you take or send the tool to a certified service center
for a thorough cleaning and inspection.

CAUTION:The use of any other accessory not recommended for use with this
tool could be hazardous.
Repairs
This charger is not user serviceable. There are no user serviceable parts inside the
charger. Servicing at an authorized service center is required to avoid damage to static
sensitive internal components.
To assure product SAFETY and RELIABILITY, repairs, maintenance and adjustments
should be performed by a D
center or other qualified service personnel. Always use identical replacement parts.

Applicable to hand held Power Tools, Lasers and Nailers.
Three Year Limited Warranty

WALT will repair, without charge, any defects due to faulty materials or workman-

ship for three years from the date of purchase. Please return the complete unit,
transportation prepaid, to any D
station.

Practices Act 1974 and State Legislation (Australia only).

WALT will also maintain the tool for free at any time during the first year of pur-

chase. This includes labour, parts and lubrication required to restore the product to
sound mechanical and/or electrical condition. Normal wear parts are not covered in
this service. Carbon brushes worn more then 50% will be replaced.
