Your Roadtrek is equipped with water heater by-pass valves.
In normal mode, all three valves will face the aisle, (see
Picture B-P14). In winter mode, the center water line valve is
open and the valves attached to the water heater are closed,
(see Picture B-P15).
To isolate and drain the outside shower when using the fresh
water system in moderate subfreezing conditions the
shower cutoff valves must be closed.
To close the shower cutoff valves:
1. Remove cushions from driver side rear bed,
(190-Popular model).
2. Open water heater top access cover, (190-Popular
model), (see Picture G-P17).
3. Open rear galley cabinet door
4. Locate the hot and cold water isolator valves,
(see Picture G-P18 for190-Popular models), (see
picture G-P18A for 170 and 190-Versatile models).
5. To isolate the exterior shower faucets, the isolator
valves must be turned 90°, (across the water line),
(refer to Pictures G-P18, G-P18A, G-P19 and G-P20
for the open and the closed positions of the
isolation valves).
6. Open the exterior shower faucet in order to drain the
exterior water lines, (close the exterior shower faucet
after draining exterior tank).
7. For summer use of the fresh water tanks repeat the
steps in reverse.
NOTE: When the water system is operating in the winter mode, only the interior fresh water tank is to be used.
NOTE: By using RV antifreeze in the black and grey waste water tanks, the waste water system can be used in
moderate subfreezing conditions.
