Modem Setting

To open this menu you will be asked to enter your access code.
From the factory the access code is set to 1234.
The Mediamaster is equipped with a built in telephone modem.
Via the modem so called "interactive services", such as e.g. or-
dering movies, can be performed. How to connect the Media-
master to the telephone line, please refer to page 14.
When configurating the modem, the following parameters have
to be set.
Tone or Pulse: Select the alternative valid for your telephone line.
If in doubt, please contact your phone operator.
Prefix: If the connection has to pass a switch board, enter the
digits that will open the line.
The following settings are also possible. They might be used by
a service provider in some applications.
Default ISP* phone number: Enter the phone number you nor-
mally use to connect to Internet.
Default ISP user name: Enter the user name you normally use
when you connect to Internet.
Default ISP password: Enter the password you normally use
when you connect to Internet.
Blind dial On/Off: Select On when the connection has to pass
a switch board. You must also select On when the call is
transfered via a mobile phone. In these cases the modem does
not recognize the dialing tone as it differs from the default one.
When switched to blind dial mode, the modem does not wait for
the dial tone. Instead, it will always start dialing after few sec-
onds.

Information about the modem
This equipment has been approved pursuant to Council Decision
98/482/EC [CTR 21] for pan-European single terminal connection
to the Public Switched telephone Network (PSTN). However, due
to differences between the individual PSTNs provided in differ-
ent countries, the approval does not, of itself, give an uncondi-
tional assurance of successful operation on every PSTN termina-
tion point.
In the event of problems, you should contact your equipment sup-
plier in the first instance.
