• Hands-free mode: New notifications are read aloud.
• Smart stay: Set the screen to stay on as long as you look at it.
For more information, refer to "Smart Screen" on page 146.
• Sync: Synchronizes your device with the network.
Synchronizes contacts, email, time, and a variety of accounts.
• Airplane mode: Airplane mode allows you to use many of your
tablet's features, such as Camera, Games, and more, when
you are in an airplane or in any other area where accessing
data is prohibited.
4. Tap
(Settings) to access Settings. For more
information, refer to "Settings" on page 136.

5. Tap the Brightness slider and drag it to set the
brightness, or tap Auto to allow the device to set
brightness automatically based on available light and
battery charge status. For more information, refer to
"Brightness" on page 145.
6. Tap the time and date at the top to configure:
• Tap Automatic date and time or Automatic time zone to
use network-provided date and time or time zone.
• Tap Use 24-hour format to enable the 24-hour format.
• Tap Manual setup to display the Date and time settings
screen. For more information, refer to "Date and Time" on
page 163.
7. Press
(Home) or
close the Notification Panel.
