Searching for a Particular
Point
On a Disc
(Search, Scan,
Slow-Motion Play, Freeze Frame)

You can quickly locate a particular point on a
disc by monitoring the picture or playing
back slowly.
Depending on the DVDNIDEO CD, you may not be
able to do some of the operations described.
During playback, keep pressing 611) to
locate a point in playback direction at the
FFlm*
speed or keep pressing +ll@ to
locate a point in opposite direction at the
FRlM*
speed. When you find the point
you want, release the button to return to
normal playback speed.
* The FFlMIFRlM
playback speed is the same as
the scan speed and click shuttle speed described
below.
Press 448 or 61~ while playing a disc.
When you find the point you want, press D
to return to normal speed.
Each time you press 4#63 or 81,
during
scan the playback speed changes. Three
speeds are available. With each press the
indication changes as follows:

The x2,/x24 playback speed is about twice

the normal speed. The FF2w/FR2+4
playback speed is faster than FFlw/FRl+r.
You can use this function only for DVDs or
VIDEO CDs. Press 4163 or @I,
when the
player is in the pause mode. To return to the
normal speed, press D.
Each time you press the 4 I@3 or 61)
button
during Slow-motion play, the playback speed
changes. Two speeds are available. With
each press the indication changes as follows:
